Karan Johar Becomes A Single Parent Of Twins Through Surrogacy

The 44 year old filmmaker, who has always been questioned for his sexuality became a single parent. He became father of twins: a baby girl and a baby boy through surrogacy.

In his autobiography ‘The Unsuitable Boy’ he mentioned about his wish to either adopt a child or to have a surrogated child. He wrote, “I don’t know what I’m going to do about it but I feel like I would like to be a parent. I don’t know how it’s going to happen but I do feel the need because I have plenty of love to offer and I’d like to take it forward. This feeling needs a release and requires a platform. And that platform could be by being a parent.”

About his hectic schedule and the time and dedication required for upbringing of children, he wrote, “By the grace of God, I have the most caring and supportive mother who will be an integral part in the up-bringing of her grandchildren and of course, friends who are family.”
