After a difficult battle with cancer, veteran Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna died at the age of 70. News of his serious health issues had been making the rounds for a few weeks, but his son and actor Rahul Khanna told that Vinod Khanna was fine. The actor and sitting BJP MP took his last breath today at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital.
He was hospitalized due to severe dehydration in April’s first week. But later it was reported taht the actor was suffering from advanced bladder carcinoma (bladder cancer. The doctors and family members were hoping a recovery, but his condition deteriorated and he succumbed to death on Thursday at 11.20 am.
After news of cancer, his photo with his wife and son went viral on the internet. In the picture, Vinod Khanna looked too frail. However, his family members denied the claims of him suffering from cancer, news was still making the rounds.
The actor was born on October 6, 1946 in Peshawar, Pakistan. After partition, his family shifted to Mumbai, where he completed his studies and started his acting career.
As an actor, Khanna worked in more than 146 movies, some of which include Mere Apne, Insaaf and Amar, Akbar, Anthony. He never had any problem in working in multi-starrer movies and worked with actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and many more.

He won many awards for his exceptional performance inclduing the Filmfare award for best supporting actor for Haath Ki safaai. He also received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999.
